Requisition 202500452ST Title Student Employee-Title IX & Student Discrimination Resolution-Front Office Assistant Employee Class Student Employee College Work Study Position Yes Department Title IX & Student Discrimination Resolution Division Division of Student Affairs Hours per week 15-25 Hiring Rate
$8.00-9.00
Preferred Student Classification
Undergraduate student with a GPA of 2.0 or higher preferred.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Self-motivated undergraduate student needed to assist professional staff in Title IX & Student Discrimination Resolution.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Provide Assistance to Full-Time Staff: Perform tasks such as making copies, handling mail, filing documents, creating documents, and data entry.
  • Answer Phones: Respond to incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate staff, and take messages as needed.
  • Front Desk: Welcome and assist visitors, providing information and directing them to the appropriate person or department. 
  • Manage Shared Email: Monitor and manage a shared email account, remove holds from student accounts, and assign training as necessary. 
  • Supply Inventory: Track and manage office supplies, ensuring that inventory is maintained. 
  • Tabling: Assist with setting up and managing informational tables at events. 
  • Social Media: Help manage and create content for the department's social media accounts. 

Other Duties as Assigned
The ideal applicant is friendly, shows initiative, can multi-task, works independently, and is able to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff and guests. Must maintain confidentiality of all records and databases associated with assigned area. Must be able to work flexible hours Monday - Friday between 8AM - 5PM.
