Summary
About the Position: Serves as an Management Assistant (OA) at Naval Hospital Jacksonville.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.

Duties
Help
  • The incumbent is responsible for the in-processing, out-processing, and interdepartmental transfers of Medical Treatment Facility(MTF) personnel in DMHRSi ensuring an accurate account of Command Staff.
  • Inputs, maintains, evaluates, and compares pertinent data and information.
  • Regularly corresponds with Labor Cost Analyst office to document and correct errors and missing information, research and obtain missing data, clarify discrepancies and inconsistencies and compile reports.
  • As the Command Site Application Administrator (SAA); responsible for creation of initial DMHRSi HR accounts, usernames and temporary passwords for all assigned personnel.
  • Coordinates with POMI office to identify and update officers and enlisted profiles to reflect changes to platform readiness.
  • Continuously validates and reconciles the Activity Manning Document (AMD/UMD) against actual personnel data within DMHRSi.
  • Serves as the HRD department liaison on administrative matters.
  • Interfaces with all levels of military and civilian personnel, both internal and external to the Command, to coordinate and resolve DMHRSi personnel issues.

  • This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
  • This position requires a qualified typist (minimum 40 words per minute).
  • This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

In order to qualify, you must meet the EDUCATON AND/OR EXPEREINCE requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing office automation software to create or retrieve data; 2) Compiling data or information in order to create reports or correspondence; and/or 3) Utilizing automated systems to maintain organizational files or records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, HR Management, and Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
