Location: Plain City, OH
Pay: $30-$55/hour flat rate, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
Pay Schedule: Twice monthly, on the 5th and 20th

We are hiring an experienced A/B-Level Automotive Technician for a busy, climate-controlled independent repair shop in Plain City.

This location services approximately 80-85 vehicles per week and provides the workflow, equipment, and front-office support needed to stay productive. You will work on a balanced mix of Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles, along with fleet and diesel work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform complete vehicle inspections and identify deferred maintenance
  • Complete digital vehicle inspections on every repair order
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
  • Perform general automotive maintenance and repair
  • Remove and replace engines and transmissions
  • Complete timing chain and head gasket repairs
  • Build accurate repair tickets with labor times and part numbers
  • Use Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment
  • Work on Domestic, Asian, European, fleet, and diesel vehicles
  • Communicate repair findings clearly to the front-office team

The service team handles final parts sourcing and ordering, allowing technicians to focus on inspections, diagnosis, and repair.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least two years of professional automotive repair experience
  • A-Level or B-Level mechanical ability
  • Strong vehicle inspection skills
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical problems
  • Electrical diagnostic experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to remove and replace engines and transmissions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE certifications
  • Tekmetric or DVI experience
  • Electrical and drivability diagnostic skills
  • State inspection or emissions certifications
  • DOT or other automotive certifications

DVI experience is preferred, but training is available. Technicians are expected to complete a digital inspection on every repair order.
