Job description

South Hills Movers is hiring a full-time Office Installer | Commercial Mover. This is a hands-on field role. You are a core member of the moving crew and our go-to technical specialist for commercial setups. You will load the trucks, read blueprints on-site, build complex cubicles, and safely mount, equip, assemble and install equipment and furniture.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build Modular Systems: Assemble and reconfigure commercial cubicles (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, Hon) including panels, overhead bins, and work surfaces.
  • Wall Mounting & Anchoring: Securely mount heavy whiteboards, signage, shelving, and TV mounts using snap toggles, toggle bolts, and stud finders into drywall, metal, wood, or concrete.
  • Precision Leveling: Use torpedo levels, digital levels, lasers, and leveling glides to align panel runs on uneven surfaces.
  • Tool Operation: Fluent use of impact drivers (with clutch settings), cordless drills, hammer drills, metric/standard hex keys, rubber mallets, and non-marring pry bars.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural layout schematics and floor plans to build spaces accurately to scale.
  • Commercial Moving: Perform standard loading, unloading, transport, and disassembly tasks alongside the moving crew.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-2 years of direct commercial office system/modular cubicle installation, commercial moving, or advanced handyman work.
  • Skillset: Expert handling of power tools, specialized hardware, load-bearing wall anchors, and layout blueprints.
  • Physical: Lift 50-75 lbs consistently; bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Screening: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
