Lobby Security Officer – High-Rise Office Building

Location: Houston, TX 77079

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Full - Time | Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional, experienced Lobby Security Officer for a high-profile high-rise office building in the Houston 77079 area.

This is a customer-facing position requiring a polished appearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional service while maintaining a secure environment.

The Lobby Officer serves as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients. Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Security Officer Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist tenants, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner
  • Monitor and control lobby access and visitor check-in procedures
  • Verify identification and issue visitor badges
  • Monitor CCTV and access control systems
  • Maintain a visible security presence in the lobby area
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and service requests
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports using reporting software
  • Communicate effectively with property management and building tenants
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of professional security experience (commercial or high-rise preferred)
  • Must live within 20 miles of 77079 (Houston area)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor (no neck, face, or below-the-wrist tattoos)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in corporate, commercial, or Class A office building security
  • Experience with visitor management systems and access control software
  • Military or law enforcement background is a plus
