Job Summary
DSI is growing-and we're hiring!
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Overnight Security Officer for a professional office building in Tampa, FL. This position is ideal for dependable, self-motivated individuals who enjoy working independently while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
As an Overnight Security Officer, you will conduct both indoor and outdoor patrols, monitor the property for safety and security concerns, secure the facility, and provide a visible security presence throughout the night.
Available Shift
  • Monday - Friday
  • 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Pay: $16.50 per hour
Essential Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine interior and exterior security patrols throughout the property.
  • Walk multiple floors and climb stairs during patrols.
  • Monitor the property for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
  • Secure doors, gates, and common areas.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and unusual situations.
  • Follow all DSI policies, client procedures, and post orders.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each shift.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Class D Security License, or the ability to obtain one before employment.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and perform outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings.
