TRANSITION ACADEMY WORK-BASED LEARNING
OFFICE ADMINISTRATON ASSOCIATE
Reports To: Human Resources and WBL Coordinator Job Status: Non-Exempt
DAYS/HOURS OF JOB:? Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (Quarter 1 and Quarter 2)
Shift 1: 9:00am- 1:00pm Shift 2: 1:00pm-4:30pm Duration: 4 weeks -12 weeks
Job Summary:
Provide support for the departments that perform office administration tasks. Including helping prepare and facilitate day-to-day activities related to the clerical duties and logistics within the organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming visitors, directing them to the relevant office/personnel.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, printing, preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos, resumes, and presentations.
  • Data entry
  • Coordinate and manage appointments, meetings, and the conference room schedule in order to prevent duplicate bookings.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, monitoring accounts receivable, and budget tracking.
  • Maintain general office files, and files related to the company's operations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of office supplies and equipment.
  • Performing other relevant duties when needed.

This position allows the student to practice the skills they learned in their pre-requisite/core and year 1 classes, exploring career opportunities in the occupational field of Office Administration.
The student will complete an application and will interview with the manager of the assigned work-based learning site (office administration).
