SAIC is seeking a Cyber Capabilities Engineer to support the development of mission-critical cybersecurity solutions that address complex operational and technical challenges. In this role, you will engage in every phase of the cybersecurity solutions lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and integration. Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge cyber capabilities aligned with operational requirements.
  • Apply advanced technical expertise in Python programming and vulnerability exploitation to build secure, scalable solutions.
  • Develop and execute testing, troubleshoot issues, and enhance systems to maximize reliability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of cyber capabilities into broader systems supporting mission needs.
  • Assist in refining technical requirements, create operational support documents, and incorporate stakeholder input throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Relevant DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) certification.
  • Expertise in Python programming and experience with AWS and GitLab.
  • Proven experience developing and deploying software and/or cyber solutions for operational environments.
  • Ability to thrive in team-based, collaborative settings while meeting technical and project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating custom-developed solutions into greater cyber and operational systems.
  • Strong foundational skills in vulnerability analysis, secure coding, and/or offensive cyber strategies.
  • Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and present clear, detailed technical documentation to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
