Job description

Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a highly motivated Roll Off CDL Driver in Hermiston, OR.

Working Schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday 5:00am-3:30pm OR (When Route is Completed, generally 9-11 hrs/day) with Overtime often.

Starting wage is $31.42/HR

Contact us today! As a CDL Driver you need to be reliable, safety-minded, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. You should also be highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain professional and cooperative relationships with both customers and colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In this position you will be operating a Roll off truck on a specified route to Deliver and Pickup up Drop Boxes.

  • Must be able to drive manual transmission.

  • Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the Route Tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.

  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

  • Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

  • Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

  • Operating Truck to Deliver Roll Off Box and Pick up Roll Off Boxes.

  • The work environment involves some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which require following basic safety precautions.

  • The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement. Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.

  • Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.
