PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. SET-UP AND OPERATION OF ALL CUT-OFF MACHINES IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACCEPTED STANDARDS.
  2. VERIFICATION OF WIRE TYPE BY CHECKING WIRE TAG AND COLOR CODE BEFORE RUNNING PRODUCTION IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE.
  3. CONSTANTLY MONITOR, MEASURE AND VISUALLY EXAMINE THE OUTPUT OF ALL MACHINES TO ASCERTAIN THAT THE PARTS ARE WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TOLERANCES.
  4. REPORT ANY NONCONFORMING PARTS FOUND TO THE SUPERVISOR SO THAT A DISPOSITION CAN BE DETERMINED.
  5. COMPLETE DAILY PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE DUTIES AS DEFINED BY SUPERVISOR.
  6. REPORT ALL MACHINE PROBLEMS TO THE SUPERVISOR IN A TIMELY MANNER.
  7. KEEP ACCURATE AND COMPLETE RECORDS OF PRODUCTION, WORK-IN-PROCESS, SCRAP, AND MATERIAL USAGE.
  8. COOPERATE WITH THE QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN AND MAKE CORRECTIONS AS WARRANTED TO ASSURE QUALITY PARTS.
  9. RE-WEIGH WIRE WHEN RETURNING IT TO STOCK AND ASSURE THAT IT IS RETURNED TO THE PROPER LOCATION.
  10. CUT UP LARGE PIECES OR COILS OF SCRAP WIRE BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE DUMPSTER.
  11. ASSURE THE MACHINES AND WORK AREA ARE CLEAN FOR NEXT SHIFT.
  12. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
