What is an Octane developer?

Octane developers are professionals who specialize in working with Octane, which is most commonly known as Octane Render, a GPU-accelerated 3D rendering software. These developers use Octane Render to create high-quality photorealistic images and animations for industries like film, gaming, architecture, and product design. Their work typically involves integrating Octane into 3D modeling pipelines, optimizing rendering workflows, and sometimes developing custom scripts or plugins to extend Octane's functionality. Octane developers often collaborate closely with artists and designers to achieve specific visual effects and efficient rendering processes.

What are some common challenges faced by Octane developers when working with performance-critical applications?

Octane developers often face challenges related to optimizing code for high-performance environments, such as managing memory usage, reducing latency, and ensuring efficient parallel processing. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to profile and refactor bottlenecks is common, as is staying updated with best practices for writing and maintaining scalable Octane code. Addressing these challenges requires a strong understanding of both the Octane engine and related performance profiling tools, as well as effective communication with QA and DevOps teams to deploy reliable solutions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Octane Sales Representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Octane Sales Representative, you need a solid understanding of sales techniques, product knowledge, and a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, often supported by a degree in business or marketing. Familiarity with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and digital communication platforms is typically required. Octane is hiring a Capital Markets Analyst to join our NYC based team. You will be reporting into the VP of Capital Markets and working closely with the rest of our team to maintain our existing capital partner relationships and assist in forging new ones. You will be heavily involved in streamlining financial reporting including simplifying data aggregation, conducting daily analyses, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. You should be hyper-collaborative, open to challenge and can work across the organization with people in finance, engineering, credit, and operations.

This position is hybrid in our NYC office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing and growing relationships with potential and existing capital partners, managing key deliverables throughout the fundraising process.
  • Help structure, negotiate, and execute debt financing deals-including Warehouse Facilities and Asset-Backed Securitizations (ABS)-from initial deliverable prep through deal closing.
  • Build and refine analytical tools to evaluate current financing strategies, optimize debt execution, and model future potential financing stages.
  • Partner with Finance, Credit, Sales, Risk, and Data Engineering teams to align cross-functional initiatives and drive data-backed portfolio decision-making.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, troubleshoot data aggregation issues, conduct daily portfolio analyses, and fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in capital markets, treasury, investment banking, financial services, consulting, or operations.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, strong financial modeling capabilities, and hands-on experience using SQL to query and analyze disparate data sets. Proficiency with Python is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaborate effectively across teams, multitask, and deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Direct exposure to structured finance, securitization (ABS), or warehouse facility management is preferred.

Compensation: In addition to salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below. The role described above offers a base salary of $90,000 to $110,000. Your offer will be based on location, the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.

Benefits:

  • Robust Health Care Plans (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Generous Parental Leave
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) Policy - Time Off When You Need It
  • Retirement Plan (401k) with company match!
