MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Integrate DoD IP encryption methodologies into intricate networks and systems, embodying a profound comprehension of security imperatives.
  • Troubleshoot spanning diverse technologies encompassing OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, DMVPN, LACP, VPLS, EVPN VxLAN, QoS IP multicasting technologies, LSP, Spanning-Tree, Port-Security, and multiple Layer 2 and 3 networking functions.
  • With no supervision and minimal guidance, assist with the evaluation, design, documentation, installation/implementation, testing, problem isolation and resolution of network errors
  • Provide Tier III engineering support to a globally distributed services team in geographically dispersed customer locations.
  • Conduct site surveys, prepare configuration capture (documents) computers, networking devices, and various peripheral equipment impacted by the cable plant.
  • Execute Tier 3 LAN and WAN support across multiple domains and locations both CONUS & OCONUS using standard enterprise tools.
  • Install data and voice cables for business cable television and router/switched systems, existing cable television and internet systems
  • Travel is required in support of service requirements ~20-30%. This position offers opportunities to support other bodies of work, at different locations, and to travel both CONUS and OCONUS (no hostile areas).
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 years experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience may be substituted for education.
  • Must hold a current 8570 compliance Level II certification such as Sec+ CE or CCNA
  • Proven hands-on experience with Cisco platforms (ASR, ISR, CSR, Catalyst) iand hands-on experience with network management and monitoring systems.
  • Possess the skills to track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics.
  • Able to complete campus area network networking installations (configurations, port security, VLAN assignments, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of site drawings, prints, schematics, and room layouts.
  • A working knowledge of cyber infrastructure, networking protocols, with a thorough understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/v6 address management and DNS
  • Basic knowledge of the TIA/EIA color code for copper and fiber cabling systems.
  • Experience with service management knowledge in key ITSM processes including incident management, problem management, change management, service level management and knowledge management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with customer ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Experience in a technical role with an understanding of IT equipment and service life as well as planning and implementation of equipment replacement
  • Experience with large scale enterprise IT contracts
Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Poly
Physical Requirements:
  • The person must be able to handle cables of varying lengths, widths and weights and the associated equipment. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally moving about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds.

The projected compensation range for this position is $114,600.00-$190,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
