Opportunity Overview:

I&C Technician - Outage Contract

You will report onsite to Oconee nuclear facility in Seneca, S.C.

You will report to the I&C Supervisor.

Personnel assigned to this category shall have a minimum of 3 years I&C experience and 1 year experience in an operating nuclear plant.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Plans, layout, assembles, installs and repairs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.
  • Select type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification.
  • Installs, repairs, maintains , and adjusts indicating, recording and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to control and measure variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, and chemical composition , using precision instruments, and hand tools.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs primary piping and tubing.
  • Reads and interprets instructions and documention and plan work activities.
  • May disassemble malfunctioning instruments or test eqiupment and examine and test machanisms and circuitry for defects.
  • Inspects instruments and test equipment periodically and adjusts calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards.
  • Installs associated support structures, components and tubing.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Perform other duties as required.

Who You Are:

  • 3 years' experience in I&C field.
  • 1 year of nuclear experience
  • 18+ years of age.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
