RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Mesa, AZ that is looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Sr. DBA). This role is responsible for the design, administration, optimization, security, and ongoing support of enterprise database environments. Reporting to the Database Manager, this role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions that support critical business operations and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain Oracle database architectures on Exadata platforms (X4-X10) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
* Administer Oracle resources across Exadata, Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), and OCI GoldenGate environments
* Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (19c and newer)
* Perform backup and recovery activities utilizing RMAN, Data Guard, and OCI-native solutions
* Optimize database performance through SQL tuning, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and AWR/ASH reporting
* Configure and support Oracle Active Data Guard and disaster recovery environments
* Lead migrations of on-premises Oracle databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
* Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager
* Design and implement high availability, load balancing, and autoscaling strategies
* Maintain database security through encryption, auditing, access controls, key management, and compliance best practices
* Manage user authentication, authorization, role-based access, and identity integrations in both on-premises and cloud environments
* Execute database migration projects utilizing Data Pump, Transportable Tablespaces, GoldenGate, RMAN, and other Oracle migration technologies
* Administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), including upgrades, patching, monitoring, and maintenance
REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
