Job description

Speech Language Pathologist – Adult & NICU – New Orleans, LA
Ochsner Health | Therapy & Wellness | Full-Time

Join Ochsner Baptist in New Orleans, LA, where we're seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to support adult and NICU patient populations through comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the continuum of care while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

About the Role:
As a Speech Language Pathologist at Ochsner Baptist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based speech therapy services in accordance with state practice guidelines. You'll assess patient progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain accurate patient care documentation. This role serves both adult and NICU populations, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical experience. In addition to direct patient care, you'll participate in clinical education, continuing education programs, departmental initiatives, and program development efforts designed to enhance patient outcomes and expand services.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree required.
  • Current Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • No experience required.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required within 2 years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with pediatric and adult populations.
