POSITION: KINDERGARTEN AND 1st GRADE ASSISTANT TEACHERS - PARAPROFESSIONAL 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
 



  1. High School Diploma
  2. Completed at least 2 years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of  higher education;  or
  3. Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or Passed the ACT Work Keys-Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics and Writing Subtests
  4. Interpersonal skills in working with students, professional colleagues, administration, parents, and community
  5. Strong written and oral communication skills: grammar, spelling, punctuation
  6. Good physical condition with ability to lift 10 pounds


JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and enhance student learning.
SALARY: Commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for classified positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
