  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the ocean import department
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies
  • Supervise a team of ocean import freight forwarders/ocean import coordinators
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of shipments
  • Resolve issues related to customs, documentation, and shipment delays
  • Coordinate with ocean carriers, trucking companies, and other service providers
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the company's transportation management system
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on import regulations and procedures
  • Prepare reports and metrics related to import operations
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
