Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Engineer Electronics. This onsite position is in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Principal Engineer Electronics will be responsible for developing and executing the program.
Essential Functions:
- Performing and executing Statement of work as RE for Radar Avionics Subsystem(s)
- Responsibilities include the ability to design, analyze, configure, test, document and troubleshoot Avionics Radar subsystems and hardware
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
- Collaborate with other engineering discipline and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
- Work to develop design solutions for obsolete Radar and Antenna hardware.
- Travel up to 25%
This position may be filled at either the Principal Responsible Engineer OR Sr. Principal Responsible Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Hardware Responsible Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 3 years of related
engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing Radar avionics subsystems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
-Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time
as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Hardware Responsible Engineer:
-Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related
engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a
PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related engineering experience.
-Experience designing, configuring, and installing Radar avionics subsystems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time
as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
