Role Summary:
Do you have a passion to assist and inspire pre-school and pre-kindergarten children 3-5 years of age? We are currently seeking caring and committed individuals to join our experienced team at MYDC's Training Wheels Child Care Center in the role of Teacher Aid.
As a Teacher Aid, you will support teachers and teaching assistants in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children.
Teaching Aid Position Details:
  • Part-time, Monday through Friday, 1PM-6PM
  • 20 to 30 hours per week available
Training Wheels Teacher Aid Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily supervision and safe care for children.
  • Ensure direct care needs of children are consistently met.
  • Follow outlined schedules and procedures to maintain classroom routines.
  • Support classroom activities and assist with implementing lesson plans.
  • Encourage positive interactions, cooperation, and learning among children.
  • Provide clear documentation and communication regarding daily activities.
  • Assist teachers with preparation of materials and classroom organization
Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2,500 hours (2 years) of documented experience working with children in a professional capacity.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain valid background checks.
  • Pre-employment physical & TB test.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Compensation range is $18-$20/hour, depending on experience and requirements alignment.
Training Wheels Chldcare Center follows CDC, OCDEL, DHS, and state/local guidelines for childcare centers.
