As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Advocate Healthcare Services, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of client mental health to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Utilizing clinical judgment to provide effective therapy, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship problems, and grief.
• Employing various forms of communication—including video calls, audio messages, and interactive journaling—to engage clients and track their progress.
• Managing your case load while maintaining flexibility to accommodate clients' needs and preferences.
• Participating in continuous professional development through shared knowledge within the counselor community on our platform.
• Documenting session progress and maintaining accurate client records on our secure platform.
• Participating in marketing your services with a personalized website and profile tailored to your expertise and demographic preferences.

The clients you will work with primarily include adults struggling with lower acuity mental health issues. All clients are screened to ensure they align with your professional focus, which minimizes the complexity of cases handled. Common concerns include mild to moderate anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship issues, and grief counseling. This targeted client population allows you to focus your efforts on therapeutic techniques and interventions that yield effective outcomes.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling or a closely related field.
• A valid, full independent LPCC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in the state of Oregon.
• A reliable internet connection and a working computer (desktop or laptop); please note that tablets are not compatible with our platform).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient base.

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be beneficial:

• Previous experience in a telehealth environment, utilizing digital platforms for counseling.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and online counseling tools.
• Experience working with low-acuity mental health issues and adult populations.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a monthly healthcare stipend for full-time counselors, and you will have free access to the platform's services to address your own mental health needs, ensuring you remain an active, healthy member of our community.
