Job description

Registered Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a licensed Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) to work.

Requirements for a Registered Occupational Therapist:
  • Be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy college
  • Display evidence of interest in continued education within the profession and is encouraged to be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Organization (AOTA)
  • Must be licensed in the State of Indiana to practice OT
  • May be responsible for supervising/training personnel such as COTA
  • CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification
  • Previous experience in home health or in a health care setting is recommended but not required
Responsibilities for a Registered Occupational Therapist:
  • Follow receipt of a doctor's referral, the therapist is responsible for evaluating the patient within 24 hours of written referral
  • Recommend programs will be patient specific to diagnosis according to the type/age of patient under program
  • After evaluating the patient, the therapist is responsible for planning, administering and supervising the COTA in an appropriate treatment plan
  • Will communicate with the referring physician and member of the rehabilitation team regarding the patient's total treatment program.
  • Will maintain an accurate daily record of treatments given to patients
  • PRN.
