PURPOSE:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to First Steps patients.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:ย 

  1. Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations.ย 
  2. Schedule and provide individual, group and homebound therapy sessions.ย 
  3. Maintain accurate records and data tracking of patient treatments.ย 
  4. Serve as a positive influence through behaviors, attitudes, and actions.ย 
  5. Maintain great communication and professional relationships with clients, family members, and co-workers.ย 
  6. Good communicator, dependable, and compassionate.

REQUIREMENTS:ย 

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.ย 
  2. Must be a currently licensed occupational therapist and registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified by the Indiana Occupational Therapy Committee
  3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  4. Maintain a valid Indiana driverโ€™s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
