Overview

Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (Outpatient)

Location: Winter Haven, FLSchedule: Fulltime | Monday-Friday (flexible hours)Compensation: Starting at $72,000+ annually, based on experienceIncentives: $10,000 signon bonus | $350/month student loan assistance

Outpatient orthopedic clinic seeking a fulltime Occupational Therapist with a hand therapy focus. Candidates may include new graduates with Level II hand fieldwork, OTs with 1+ year of hand therapy experience, or CHTs (preferred, not required). Caseload includes: tendon injuries, sprains/strains, postoperative fractures; splinting preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
  • National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start. 
  • Newly licensed OT graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy and Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year current hand therapy
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid state driver's license
