Job Summary:
Obsidian Entertainment is looking for experienced programmers to work with their team of artists and designers to deliver the artistic vision of their next world-class RPG using the Unreal Engine. The role involves collaborating with the team, improving performance, and developing tools for artists.
Responsibilities:
โข Collaborate with the team to achieve the artistic vision for the game
โข Analyze and improve performance and memory usage across all target platforms
โข Develop and maintain new and existing tools for the artists
โข Author new shaders and effects
โข Research and propose improvements to processes and pipelines
Qualifications:
Required:
โข An avid gamer with a passion for making games and game technology
โข Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
โข 5+ years of industry experience developing for PC and consoles
โข Proficiency in C/C++
โข Experience with DirectX, HLSL, and GPU programming
โข Interest in the latest rendering technologies, techniques, hardware, and APIโs
โข Experience with multi-threaded programming
โข Skilled at performance analysis, optimization, and debugging
โข Strong math skills
โข Unreal Engine experience
