Job description

Overview
Who we are
Collaborative. Respectful. A place to dream and do. These are just a few words that describe what life is like at Toyota. As one of the world's most admired brands, Toyota is growing and leading the future of mobility through innovative, high-quality solutions designed to enhance lives and delight those we serve. We're looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.
An important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.
Toyota does not offer support or sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this role now or in the future. You must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, 'job flexibility benefits' [also known as I-140 or Adjustment of Status portability], etc.) now or in the future. You should not apply for this role if you will require Toyota to assist with immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.
Who we're looking for
The Stability & Productivity Engineering (SPE) team within the Toyota Financial Services CTO PM organization is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and transform the SRE & Observability product area with an expanded charter to elevate the space and shape broader AIOps strategy for TFS Team Members.
You will own the end-to-end product vision for SRE and Observability across production and sub-production environments, leading roadmap prioritization, customer input, and delivery execution. This role brings product discipline, customer experience, and data-driven decision making to advance TFS toward a proactive, predictive, self-detecting, and self-healing operating model.
You will partner with SRE engineering, platform teams, service operations, and business stakeholders to translate reliability and observability needs into a measurable, customer-centric product strategy while shaping a cohesive AIOps and automation roadmap.
What you'll be doing
  • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SRE & Observability, maturing the space into a product-driven model grounded in customer experience, reliability outcomes, and business impact.
  • Lead planning, VOC synthesis, roadmap prioritization, PRDs, user journeys, acceptance criteria, and backlog health across SRE, observability, and reliability engineering capabilities.
  • Manage the full feature lifecycle from discovery through delivery, testing, rollout, and adoption in partnership with SRE engineering, platform teams, service operations, and architecture.
  • Advance the AIOps roadmap, including AI-driven alerting, anomaly detection, Agentic AI, and automation capabilities that reduce incident impact, improve availability, and accelerate time to resolution.
  • Drive modernization of core observability tooling across production and sub-production environments, reducing end-of-life risk and expanding telemetry coverage.
  • Define and maintain product metrics, dashboards, and data analysis frameworks for MTTR, MTBF, MTTD, incident volume, alert accuracy, and telemetry pipeline health.
  • Use operational data, customer insights, and industry best practices in SRE, observability, reliability engineering, and AIOps to prioritize opportunities and validate outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment with engineering, service operations, infosec, architecture, SPE, and CTO leadership to manage dependencies, secure approvals, and maintain execution continuity.
  • Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders by translating technical delivery and telemetry data into clear business impact narratives.

What you bring
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or technology leadership, including senior-level product accountability.
  • Experience with SRE, observability, or reliability engineering practices, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and MTTR/MTBF/MTTD metrics.
  • Proven ability to shift engineering-driven roadmaps toward product-driven strategies informed by customer experience, VOC, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong data-driven product skills, including defining metrics, building dashboards, and using analytics or telemetry data to guide prioritization.
  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled products or AIOps capabilities, such as AI-driven alerting, anomaly detection, Agentic AI, or automation roadmaps.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, agile product, and backlog management skills, with the ability to align technical teams and senior leaders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Added bonus if you have
  • Direct ownership of an SRE or Observability product area within a CTO or enterprise IT organization, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, or comparable observability and ITSM platforms.
  • Experience scaling AI, automation, or AIOps capabilities across a large, multi-persona organization.
  • Familiarity with Major Incident Management processes and workbench tooling.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

What we'll bring
During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
  • A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect.
  • Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement.
  • Team Member Vehicle Purchase Discount.
  • Toyota Team Member Lease Vehicle Program (if applicable).
  • Comprehensive health care and wellness plans for your entire family.
  • Toyota 401(k) Savings Plan featuring a company match, as well as an annual retirement contribution from Toyota regardless of whether you contribute.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off.
  • Referral services related to prenatal services, adoption, childcare, schools, and more.
  • Tax Advantaged Accounts (Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA).
