Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Senior Developer for a challenging role in support of Private Real Estate & Alternative Investments, specializing in the implementation of Data Warehousing and Oracle Business Intelligence within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead complex/major efforts involving the requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of computer programs and/or application components.
Recommends solutions and/or leverage technology capabilities that are aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards.
Hands on development, capable of debugging the system and fixing the production related issues. Ability to resolve complex application and technical problems.
Performs software architecture and systems design.
Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.
Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes.
Ability to lead technical project teams.
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff.
May serve as departmental liaison to interdepartmental or interdivisional project initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of eight years of experience developing applications including prior work for a financial services firm
5+ years of relevant experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions using ETL and BI tools
Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts (both Kimball and Inmon approaches)
5+ years of experience in data modelling including star schema and relational using Kimball/Inmon approach.
5+ years of hands on experience with one or more Business Intelligence tools such as OBIEE, Microsoft BI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc. Experience with OBIEE is a big plus
Working experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases
Experience with Microsoft BI platform and languages (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL, MDX, DAX, etc.) would be a plus
Good understanding of the JAVA/J2EE or knowledge of the commercial mortgage domain is a big plus
B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
