Minimum Qualifications
Eligible for registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The Medical Sonographer (PRN) is a position within the Radiology Department. The function of this position is to perform a variety of specialized technical procedures that require the usage of ultrasound technology.
  • Performs B-mode and real-time scanning of all organ systems to include abdomen, GYN, Retroperitoneal, breast, thyroid, renal, vascular (non-peripheral), doppler, and obstetrical
  • Operates sophisticated equipment and computer-based storage systems.
  • Calibrate ultrasound equipment as required.
  • Sets up and assist in surgical and biopsy procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records on a daily basis.

Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Unclassified PRN
Work Schedule: Work hours vary and will be set by Manager.
Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay of up to $2.00 per hour.
