Job description

Join our team at our Oakland Location!
Position and Location: Part Time Barista Positions available at our Oakland Location, 25-30 hours/week. Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday.
Primary Purpose: Provides customers with exceptional service, handcrafted coffee and tea beverages and food, in a clean, comfortable and welcoming store environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Greet customers in a friendly, personalized and professional manner
  2. Create and maintain a comfortable, clean and welcoming environment for coworkers and customers
  3. Prepare handcrafted, quality beverages and products by adhering to Tazza D'oro and SCAA standards
  4. Develop a deep knowledge and can speak on various store products, answer customers inquiries and make suggestions
  5. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Available to work flexible hours which may include; early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  3. An ability to multitask and problem solve
  4. An ability to work as part of a team with a positive, energetic and resourceful attitude
  5. Punctuality, reliability

Physical Requirements:
  1. Must be able to stand for hours at a time
  2. Occasional lifting of 5-25 lb. boxes

Education:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications:
  1. Previous customer service experience, in fast paced setting preferred.
  2. Barista experience with demonstrated proficiency in coffee and espresso preferred.
