Oak trees are large, deciduous or evergreen trees in the genus Quercus, known for their strength, longevity, and distinctive lobed leaves. They are commonly found in temperate regions across the Northern Hemisphere and are valued for their hard wood, which is used in furniture, flooring, and barrel making. Oak trees also play a crucial role in their ecosystems by providing food and habitat for numerous wildlife species. Their acorns serve as a vital food source for animals such as deer, squirrels, and birds.

AspectOak Tree
AspectArborist

While an Oak Tree is a type of tree, an Arborist is a professional who specializes in the care, maintenance, and management of trees, including Oak Trees. Arborists typically hold certifications like ISA Certified Arborist and work in urban or rural environments, often employed by landscaping companies, municipalities, or tree care firms. The key difference is that Oak Tree refers to a specific plant species, whereas an Arborist is a person trained to care for trees, including Oaks. Both are connected through the industry of tree care, but their roles are distinct.

Job description

Join the Oak Tree Talent Network

At Oak Tree Education Consulting LLC, we're building more than a job board — we're cultivating a curated network of top-tier professionals ready to make a lasting impact in non-profit, educational, and mental health settings.

When you join our talent pool, you're not just applying for one role. You're gaining a partner invested in matching your skills and career goals with mission-driven organizations across our network — now and in the future.

Calling All Home Visitors & Early Childhood Educators!

Do you believe a child's first classroom is their home — and that parents are a child's first and most important teacher? Do you light up helping families build the skills and confidence to nurture their child's learning every single day? Let's talk.

We're working with a respected nonprofit family services agency in San Diego County to find a full-time Head Start Home Visitor ready to make a real difference for families across the region.

Direct-Hire Placement — This isn't a temp gig. You'll be hired directly onto the organization's team as a permanent, full-time employee, with full access to their benefits and the community of a long-term agency home.

What You'll Own As a Head Start Home Visitor, you'll:

  • Conduct weekly home visits, coaching parents/guardians on how to influence and impact their child's learning within the home environment
  • Help design, implement, and deliver individualized early childhood education services for children enrolled in the home-based program option
  • Champion parent engagement, empowering families to lead in planning and decision-making around their child's education and development
  • Administer developmentally appropriate screenings and assessments, and maintain accurate student records, data, and required reports
  • Connect children and families to community resources and services that address their unique needs
  • Facilitate parent meetings, workshops, and family engagement activities that build knowledge and skills in health, nutrition, and child development
  • Support the recruitment and enrollment of families, and review applications for income eligibility and program qualifications
  • Support inclusion and mainstreaming of children with special needs, collaborating with specialists as needed
  • Report suspected or known child abuse and neglect in accordance with California Child Abuse Reporting laws and agency procedures

What You Bring

  • An Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field — or a valid Teacher Permit (or higher) and/or at least 24 semester units in Child Development/Early Childhood Education (including infant/toddler coursework), with willingness to continue toward a degree within 2 years of hire
  • At least 1 year of experience in an early childhood education or family services program that emphasizes the parent's role in a child's development and learning
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency (written and verbal) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other workplace technology
  • A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance — regular travel for home visits, meetings, trainings, and community events is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required health, TB, and fingerprint/background clearances
  • A self-motivated, dependable spirit and comfort working independently across diverse cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and socioeconomic communities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift/carry up to 30 lbs, with the flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work as program needs require
