Full-Time Exterminator / Certified Pesticide Applicator (NYSDEC 7A& 7F)

Cirrus Manor

Rochester, NY • On-site

$55K - $65K/yr

Full-time

Medical, PTO

Posted 10 days ago

Job description

$55,000 – $65,000 per year + benefits

Monday–Friday days, occasional urgent response | Reports to the Administrator

About the Role:

Cirrus Manor is a 200-bed adult home on Culver Road, and we are making a serious, funded investment

in pest management: a full-time in-house exterminator, a rebuilt Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

program, structural exclusion upgrades, a weekly pest control vendor partnership, and administrator-

level backing.

This is a rare in-house position — no route, no sales quotas, no commission chasing. You will own the

program and see the results of your work every day in a building 160 people call home.

What You’ll Do

• Run daily monitoring rounds and maintain the facility pest map.

• Inspect every resident room on a rotating schedule (each room at least monthly).

• Perform bed bug and rodent treatments — heat, residual, and biopesticide protocols.

• Place and service interceptors, monitors, and tamper-resistant bait stations.

• Maintain all pesticide application records required by NYSDEC (6 NYCRR Part 325).

• Co-lead the weekly pest control meeting with our contracted vendor and escort the vendor on all

service visits.

• Inspect incoming furniture, resident belongings, and hospital returns.

• Train staff and educate residents on prevention and reporting.

What You Need

• REQUIRED: Current NYSDEC commercial pesticide applicator certification, Category 7A (Structural

Rodent Control).

• STRONGLY PREFERRED: Category 7F (Food Processing). If you do not hold 7F, we will pay for the

upgrade course, and your salary moves to the top of the range when you certify.

• 2+ years of structural pest control experience with hands-on bed bug work.

• Clean, consistent documentation habits.

• The people skills to work respectfully around elderly residents in their home.

• Employment is contingent on the background screening required for New York adult care facilities

(including the Justice Center staff exclusion list check).

What We Offer

• Weekly pay — every Thursday.

• Health coverage, PTO, and NYS paid sick leave.

• Paid recertification credits and DEC license renewal fees.

• All equipment provided.

• A stable Monday–Friday schedule
