Mechanical Design Engineer - Military & Aerospace (Remote)
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
I'm partnering with a global manufacturer of advanced connectivity and interconnect solutions that serves the aerospace, defense, and other highly engineered industries. They're growing their engineering team and looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead product design
from concept through production.
What You'll Do
  • Design and develop new mechanical products while enhancing existing product lines.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Perform engineering analysis and calculations to validate designs.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and new product introduction activities.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, and test engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet performance requirements.
  • Drive engineering changes, product improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Investigate production challenges and recommend effective design solutions.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
  • Experience developing engineering drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
  • Familiarity with prototype development, engineering change processes (ECO/ECN), and product validation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
