Job description

About the Role

We're a fast-growing, seed-stage AI marketing automation company based in San Francisco — backed by top-tier investors including Y Combinator — building an end-to-end platform that empowers marketing teams with AI-driven campaign execution, performance optimization, and hyper-personalized content production.

As a Founding Engineer (Full-Stack), you'll be one of the earliest engineers on the team, with a direct impact on the product's architecture, quality, and direction. You'll take full ownership of features from concept through deployment and maintenance, working closely with operations, product, and customers to ship things that matter.

What You'll Do
  • Own end-to-end feature development — from scoping and architecture to deployment and iteration — across the full stack

  • Build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, including background jobs and event-driven workflows with Inngest

  • Develop responsive, polished frontend experiences with Vue.js / Nuxt

  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas (via Supabase) with a strong focus on data integrity and performance

  • Manage deployments and infrastructure on Render and dedicated environments on Microsoft Azure

  • Integrate AI/LLM capabilities using frameworks such as LangGraph and APIs from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google

  • Collaborate closely with the operations team and directly with customers via Slack and Notion to understand requirements and align solutions

  • Contribute to engineering culture and tooling (Linear, GitHub, Slack, Notion) as a founding team member

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production web applications (full-stack)

  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript / Node.js backend development

  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design

  • Experience owning complete features or projects from concept through deployment and ongoing maintenance

  • Frontend experience with React/Next.js or Vue.js + Nuxt

  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco (relocation required if not already local)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience deploying and managing apps with Render and Inngest; familiarity with Microsoft Azure

  • Previous exposure to marketing, AdTech, or performance marketing tooling

  • Experience integrating LLMs or AI/ML APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)

  • Familiarity with serverless workflows or event-driven architecture

  • Comfort working in a very early-stage, fast-moving startup environment with high autonomy

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 per year

  • Early-stage equity

  • Visa sponsorship available

Location

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the office. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
