Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for patients, taking into account their unique medical conditions, dietary needs, and health goals to develop tailored care plans.
  • Provide one-on-one evidence-based nutrition counseling, educating patients and their families about effective dietary practices, emphasizing healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly by evaluating their adherence to nutrition plans, making necessary adjustments, and collaborating with other healthcare providers for integrated care delivery.
  • Perform nutrition-focused physical examinations and interpret laboratory data to assess a patient's nutritional status and its impact on their health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Tennessee.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to USD 70,000 annually, determined by experience and qualifications.
