• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for patients, taking into account their unique medical conditions, dietary needs, and health goals to develop tailored care plans.
• Provide one-on-one evidence-based nutrition counseling, educating patients and their families about effective dietary practices, emphasizing healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
• Monitor patient progress regularly by evaluating their adherence to nutrition plans, making necessary adjustments, and collaborating with other healthcare providers for integrated care delivery.
• Perform nutrition-focused physical examinations and interpret laboratory data to assess a patient's nutritional status and its impact on their health.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, working cohesively with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to construct efficient treatment protocols.
• Offer ongoing support for patients facing specific dietary constraints such as diabetes management, obesity, food allergies, and gastrointestinal issues.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, ensuring all interactions and assessments comply with healthcare regulations.
• Stay informed on the latest research, dietary guidelines, and clinical practices in the field of nutrition and nutrition therapy.

This role primarily focuses on patients with diabetes and related metabolic disorders, providing specialized nutritional services that address the unique challenges they face. You will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each requiring tailored nutritional advice and empathetic support for managing their health concerns.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Tennessee.
• In-depth understanding of nutrition science, medical nutrition therapy, and dietary guidelines.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex dietary information to patients and healthcare team members.

• Hands-on experience in diabetes management, including familiarity with insulin therapy, carbohydrate counting, and blood glucose monitoring.
• Previous work in an outpatient or clinical setting focusing on nutrition-related care.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to USD 70,000 annually, determined by experience and qualifications.
