Job description

We are seeking a supportive, knowledgeable, and motivated Health Coach to help clients develop sustainable habits and make positive lifestyle changes. The successful candidate will work with individuals to understand their goals, provide personalized guidance, track progress, and encourage long-term improvements in overall wellness.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a positive approach, and the ability to build trusting relationships while providing practical, evidence-informed guidance within their professional scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client consultations to understand individual health and wellness goals.
  • Develop personalized wellness and lifestyle action plans.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and accountability.
  • Support clients in establishing sustainable nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress-management, and healthy-lifestyle habits.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust goals and strategies as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Conduct regular check-ins through phone, video, or in-person sessions.
  • Educate clients on healthy lifestyle practices using reliable health information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare or wellness professionals when appropriate.
  • Recognize situations that require referral to a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
  • Stay informed about current wellness practices and relevant professional standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in health coaching, wellness, fitness, nutrition, behavioral coaching, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active-listening skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support clients without being judgmental.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Comfortable using digital communication and client-management tools.
  • Relevant health-coaching, wellness, fitness, nutrition, or behavioral-health certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of professional scope of practice and appropriate referral procedures.
