Join our dynamic team and immerse yourself in the exciting world of health and wellness promotion, marketing, communications, and event planning! This hands-on internship provides valuable professional experience on campus, working closely with the Nutrition Manager (Registered Dietitian) and the Hornet Hospitality intern team. You'll support health and wellness events, social media initiatives, sustainability projects, and marketing functions for Hornet Hospitality. This is a part-time position.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $16.90 to $16.90. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nutrition Manager in developing and executing health and wellness programs on campus.
  • Create health and wellness marketing materials, including social media posts, videos, flyers, educational content, and handouts.
  • Organize and host health and wellness events, including tabling sessions, cooking classes, and other promotional activities.
  • Engage with students to provide peer-to-peer nutrition education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nutrition Manager.

Qualifications
  • Must be a current or incoming Sac State undergraduate or graduate student, with juniors, seniors, or graduate students preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in nutrition topics, with the ability to gather and present evidence-based nutrition information.
  • Food, nutrition, dietetics or other relevant majors preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook).
  • Experience with content creation platforms (e.g Canva, Adobe, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in photography and video editing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong creative and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
  • Availability to work 10-20 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule around class hours and business needs, with a preference for availability during lunch (10:30 AM - 2:00 PM) and dinner (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM) times.
