Junior Account Manager, Nutraceutical Ingredients

Location: Santa Ana, CA
Job Type: Full-Time

About Huisong
Huisong is a global supplier of botanical extracts, herbal raw materials, and functional ingredients serving the nutraceutical, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Our customers use our ingredients in dietary supplements, functional foods, beverages, and other health-focused products.
As we continue to grow our U.S. business, we are looking for a motivated Junior Account Manager to join our team in Santa Ana. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in wellness, nutrition, botanical ingredients, or B2B sales and wants to build a long-term career in the nutraceutical industry.

About the Role
The Junior Account Manager will support customer relationships, assist with new business development, respond to customer inquiries, and learn the ingredient sales process from an experienced team.
This role is ideal for someone who is positive, organized, coachable, and excited to grow. Previous experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, food ingredients, wellness, or sales is helpful, but not required. We are open to training the right person who has strong communication skills, a great attitude, and a desire to learn.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support new and existing customer relationships across North America.
  • Assist with customer inquiries, pricing requests, RFQs, sample requests, and follow-up.
  • Help identify new business opportunities with supplement brands, manufacturers, contract manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Coordinate product samples, customer feedback, and internal follow-up.
  • Work with internal teams, including Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
  • Maintain accurate customer notes, sales activity, and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
  • Learn about botanical extracts, herbal raw materials, nutraceutical applications, and industry trends.
  • Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Interest in the nutraceutical, wellness, nutrition, botanical, or natural products industry.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong follow-up, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Sales, customer service, account management, business development, or inside sales experience is helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in sales, customer service, account management, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Interest or experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, food ingredients, wellness, nutrition, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Work Environment:
This is an onsite position based in our Santa Ana, California office. Candidates should be local to Orange County or able to reliably commute to the office. Remote work and relocation assistance are not available for this position.
