Job description

Summary: This job is responsible for technical assistance across the plant and to work alongside engineers to review, develop, and implement manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following:

  • Participating in the establishment and deployment of standard processes, policies, and procedures across the plant.
  • Understand, adjust, and write work instructions.
  • Conducting research, collecting data, and writing daily reports.
  • Conducting experiments and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.
  • Working alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
  • Participate and lead small projects.
  • Audit standard processes and use continuous improvement tools to implement improvements.
  • Work with other departments as required.
  • Create and design signs / markings for all necessary duties.
  • Use the following software programs while performing the job: SAP, Nutech, SAPME, AutoCad, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, Confluence, Solid Works, and Word.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean/ Six Sigma/ 5S
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, or related software.
  • Strong experience with AS400 and/or SAP

Recommended Education and/or Experience

  • Associate’s degree in a related field; or minimum of two years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
