What We're Looking For:
  • A collaborative, detail-oriented clinical professional who excels at bridging the gap between Information Systems and Patient Care.
  • Strong clinical experience (3-5 years), with bedside patient care preferred.
  • Experience in clinical or healthcare informatics (Analyst II requires 2+ years in informatics).
  • Proficiency with personal computers (2-3 years); PC hardware troubleshooting helpful.
  • Current Louisiana license as a clinical professional preferred; Registered Nurse required.
Experience Requirements:
  • Analyst I: Clinical experience in a healthcare environment, bedside patient care preferred (3-5 years).
  • Analyst II: Clinical experience in a healthcare environment, bedside patient care preferred (3-5 years), plus greater than 2 years of experience in clinical or healthcare informatics.

What You Will Do: Responsible for supporting clinical information systems across the hospital network. This includes planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned clinical systems. Serves as a key resource between Information Systems (IS) and Patient Care departments for daily operational issues related to clinical applications.
  • Function as the clinical liaison between IS and Patient Care Areas.
  • Educate clinical staff on clinical applications within the Information System.
  • Assist users with identifying causes and solutions for computer-related issues.
  • Collaborate on developing and distributing information and training to clinical staff.
  • Provide cross-training for IS team members on clinical applications.
  • Work with patient care departments to evaluate enhancement or change requests and communicate feasibility and outcomes.
  • Provide clinical expertise during evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of clinical applications.
  • Perform master file and table maintenance for assigned applications.
  • Partner with technical experts to ensure applications meet interdisciplinary user needs.
  • Support development of education, training materials, and system documentation.
  • Maintain day-to-day functionality and security of clinical applications.
  • Participate in system testing prior to implementation.
  • Maintain knowledge of current healthcare technology trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
