Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Watertown, Wisconsin.

Travel RN – ICU

Watertown Regional Medical Center | Watertown, WI

Assignment Details
  • Specialty: ICU RN
  • Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
  • Weekends: Every third weekend
  • Call: None
  • Openings: 1
  • Trauma Level: Level III
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Float: Yes – Medical/Surgical
Experience & Requirements
  • 2+ years of ICU experience preferred
  • BLS & ACLS required
  • Must be comfortable with:
    • Ventilators
    • Central lines
    • Arterial lines
  • Chest tube experience preferred
ICU Unit
  • 4 ICU beds
  • Minimum staffing of 2 RNs per shift
  • Adult and geriatric population
  • No pediatric patients
  • ICU may accept medical overflow patients when needed
Patient Ratios

ICU:

  • Typically 1:2
  • May care for 1 ICU patient plus 1–2 medical overflow patients

If floated to Med/Surg:

  • Approximately 1:4–1:6
Common Patient Diagnoses
  • Sepsis
  • ETOH withdrawal
  • COPD
  • DKA
  • Post-heart catheterization patients
  • Other critically ill adult/geriatric patients
