Sonographer

Job Title: Sonographer

Profession: Healthcare

Duration: 26 weeks

Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in pediatric sonography required.

License: BLS, ARDMS required.

Certifications: Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred. Fetal Echo encouraged. Adult echo experience a plus.

Must-Have: Knowledge and experience with ECMO procedures for assisting with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement. Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease.

Description: Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography. Knowledgeable and experienced with ECMO procedure to assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement. Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease is required. Duties include performing echocardiographic studies within the complete spectrum of diagnoses seen in fetal congenital heart disease (22+ weeks) and pediatric heart disease, as well as adult congenital echocardiography. Coverage responsibilities will include NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU. Job duties also involve recognizing and triaging emergent situations. Providing written communication to cardiologists is expected. Maintenance of equipment is necessary. Logging and billing of procedures is part of the responsibilities. EMR and PACS experience is required. Equipment includes Phillips Floor. Scrubs will be provided in Caribbean Blue. Epic access is needed.
