Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Critical Care Float for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: Critical Care Float
  • Discipline: RN
  • Start Date: 07/27/2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Specialty: ICU (Mixed Acuity ICU/PCU)
  • Experience: Minimum 1.5 years ICU (2 years preferred)
  • License: Active Indiana RN License
  • Certifications: BLS & ACLS (AHA only)
  • Schedule: 3x12s, rotating weekends
  • Patient Ratios:
    • ICU: 1:2 (occasionally 1:3)
    • PCU: 1:3 (occasionally 1:4 with transfers)
  • Floating: Required to all ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units while maintaining a maximum 1:3 assignment
  • EMR: Epic
  • Equipment: Philips monitors, Pyxis, EKG, Dopplers
  • Common Diagnoses:
    • Sepsis
    • Respiratory failure
    • Renal failure
    • Myocardial infarction
    • Pulmonary embolism
    • Pneumonia
  • Skills Needed:
    • Ventilator management
    • Titrating vasoactive, sedation, and paralytic drips
    • Assisting with intubations and central line placement
    • Critical care assessment and teamwork
  • Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs; black, white, or Caribbean blue jacket; black or white undershirts.
  • Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable) plus one day on the unit.
