ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN, the Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) provides specialized restorative care designed to help residents improve, maintain, or regain their physical, mental, and psychosocial functional abilities. Working closely with clinical staff and following individualized resident care plans, the RNA supports residents in achieving their highest level of independence and quality of life. This role focuses on sustaining progress after rehabilitation therapy and maximizing functional abilities. The RNA also performs general Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) duties as needed.QualificationsEducation High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program required Completion of a restorative nursing training program within 90 days of hire requiredย Experience 1 year of experience as a CNA in long-term care required Restorative nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting preferredย Licenses and Certifications CNA - State of California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) requiredDisclaimers
