Job description

Embark on a dynamic nursing assignment in a high-energy emergency department, delivering critical care in a setting that goes beyond traditional inpatient units. Nurses in this environment manage patient care in various spaces-including hallways and designated bays-while navigating fast-paced turnover and heightened activity.
Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Day/Night rotating shifts
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Qualifications:
  • Active RN license with emergency room experience
  • At least 1 year of previous travel nursing experience
  • Comfortable providing care across multiple areas of the ED, including hallways
  • Adaptability to manage patient medications and supplies from different care areas
  • Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Excellent communication and rapid decision-making skills
Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ER patients in both traditional and nontraditional spaces
  • Rapidly respond to evolving clinical priorities and urgent situations
  • Safely prepare, administer, and document medications and interventions
  • Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and clear communication with both team members and patients
  • Uphold infection control and safety protocols throughout the shifting ED landscape
  • Support patient and family needs with empathy, especially during times of stress or uncertainty
