What You'll Do

As a CNA, you'll work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care and support, including:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

  • Monitor and document vital signs, height, weight, and patient observations.

  • Report changes in patient condition or behavior to licensed nursing staff.

  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.

  • Prepare exam and treatment areas.

  • Assist nurses with routine procedures and patient care activities.

  • Collect and transport specimens according to facility protocols.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

  • Keep patient care areas clean, organized, and stocked.

  • Collaborate with nurses, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Schedule
  • Rotating 8-hour evening shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

  • Every other weekend required

  • Assigned holidays required

QualificationsRequired
  • Active Wisconsin CNA Certification (or eligibility for reciprocity)

  • Minimum 1 year of CNA experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a secure correctional healthcare environment

Preferred
  • Experience in correctional healthcare, hospital, long-term care, behavioral health, rehabilitation, or medical-surgical settings

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Comfortable working with diverse patient populations
