As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in wound treatment, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to residents in accordance with current company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. Your goal is to ensure the highest standards of quality care, patient safety, and dignity are maintained at all times. As a nurse leader, you will guide and support LVNs/LPNs and CNAs to promote optimal resident outcomes and a positive care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform wound care treatments, including cleaning, dressing changes, and debridement as ordered by the physician.
  • Assess, monitor, and document wound healing progress and changes in resident condition.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents with wounds or skin integrity concerns.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care procedures, prevention strategies, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and oversee resident care provided by unlicensed staff to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident and patient information in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and compassionate care within the facility.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other healthcare professionals to support positive resident outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff and care teams.

Must have:

  • Current and unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state โ€“ New Grads Welcomed!
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice to have:

  • Nursing experience providing direct care to multiple residents
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing environment
  • Experience with PointClickCare
  • Knowledge of wound care techniques and infection control
