RN (Registered Nurse)- Group Home-ICF- Flexible Schedule

Interimย HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Community Staffing team!ย  This unique position would be in an intermediate care facilityย (ICF) supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in La Crescent, MN.ย  The RN will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of theย  residents as you monitor and assess their physical and emotional well being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental and a passion for enriching the lives of those they care for. ย Come join our amazing team of healthcare professionals!

Pay rate:ย  $45-$50/hourย 

Schedule:ย  Flexible schedule to work 40 hours/ week.

*This assignment will start ASAP and go through October*
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise and maintain all health and medical policies required byย 245D licensing as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Medication managementย  for residents and training of direct care staff to perform medication passing.
  • Ensure knowledge and implementation of Coordinated Service plans (CSSP's), assessments, risk management plans and individual healthcare plans including psychotropic medication reviews.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
  • Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
  • Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.

Requirements:

  • RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Previous RN experience, preferably in a group home (ICF) community.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working senior residents.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
