We are seeking an Administrative Nurse with previous experience in the position to join our team. The position is FT 7a-3p inlcuding every other weekend.
Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to be responsible for the administration of the nursing program within the LTC in accordance with professional practice standards, center policies and procedures, Quality Assurance guidelines, Solaris HealthCare programs, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Job Functions
  • Assists in maintaining resident care standards by supervising and directing activities of subordinate nurses engaged in quality assurance and utilization review activities.
  • Participates in clinical risk identification, strategy planning, and risk reduction.
  • Receives physician's instructions regarding resident care and ensures that orders are transmitted to other units as needed.
  • Oversees delegation of nursing and other therapeutic procedures to other level professionals and paraprofessional associates.
  • Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess residents' physical conditions and behaviors, evaluates the quality of care provided, and ensures proper documentation of treatment and nursing observations.
  • Facilitates and participates in occurrence investigations ensuring timely and accurate reporting to nursing administration.
  • Ensures infection control standards and biohazard waste procedures are met by collecting, trending, and reporting data.

Education
Current R.N. license required with experience in the long term care or working with the geriatric population preferred. CPR Certified.
Experience
  • Must have at least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience
  • Skill in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide nursing service for residents
  • Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments
