Cardiothoracic NP Locums Job in Indiana | Clinic + Call | Beginning ASAP – Ongoing | Assignment #114292
Coverage Details
-- Monday–Friday, 7:00a–4:00p
-- Night call: 4:00p–7:00a
-- 24‑hour call: 7:00a–7:00a
-- Night call and weekend call coverage
Call Details
-- OR‑only call coverage
-- Call back if needed
Requirements
-- Indiana license at time of submission
-- AANP certification
-- Local candidates within driving distance – highly preferred
Required Procedures / Skills
-- First assist
-- Vein harvesting using Maquet system
-- Will not accept new graduates; experienced APP with cardiothoracic surgery knowledge required
Assignment Details
-- Duties include surgical assisting, rounding, ordering tests, pre‑op physical exams, prescribing, suture and staple removal, vein harvesting, chest tube removal, pacing wire removal, wound care, cardiac rehab coordination, and documentation
-- Works alongside attending cardiothoracic surgeons
-- OR only with first assist duties; no office coverage
-- Average patient volume: 10 outpatient; 5–8 inpatient
-- Typical day includes hospital rounding followed by OR time
-- Responds to emergencies including CPR and ACLS
-- Participates in multidisciplinary communication with surgeons, staff, and families
