Nurse Practitioner Informatics Jobs in Austin, TX

In collaboration with the Chief Health Officer (CHO), the Associate Chief Health Officer (ACHO) is responsible for the quality and performance of health services at CommUnityCare. As such, the ACHO directly oversees the service lines to which they are assigned, helping establish the organization's clinical standards of practice and integrated, high-performance model of care. Additionally, through expert collaboration, the ACHO teams with quality and performance improvement, clinical informatics, operations, finance, compliance, and nursing leadership to secure a highly-reliable, innovative, teambased care environment that advances health equity, continuously improves quality, builds community, and promotes the wellbeing of our workforce – all with demonstrable ingenuity and resourcefulness. Within this scope, the ACHO oversees and leads clinical quality improvement, disease management, utilization review, clinical outcomes, preventive health, research and education, clinical integration, and new market development. Imbued with enthusiastic support of value?based, effective, efficient, and team?based care across the entire care delivery system continuum, ACHO sets a transformative standard of excellence in clinical leadership. As a licensed physician or Advanced Practice Provider, ACHO provides direct patient care in addition to administrative duties.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree or Doctoral degree in related clinical field.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• Master’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration and/or Masters in Public Health

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Five years of clinical practice experience
• Two years in a clinical leadership role such as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in a managed care organization is preferred.
• Medicaid managed care experience is desirable.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Holds and maintains these certifications as a professional. Lapsing/expiration of these certifications/licensure will result in suspension of work:

• Current and unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board OR
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas and current certification in area of specialty OR
• Unrestricted licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas and current credentialing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• MD/DO: Certification in a medical specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
