Job description

About the Role:

The Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare across diverse clinical settings. They are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic health conditions, providing both primary and specialty care to patients of all ages. This role requires collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote wellness and disease prevention. NPs also educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease management, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the United States.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized national certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a specialized area such as family practice, pediatrics, geriatrics, or acute care.
  • Additional certifications related to specialty practice areas (e.g., psychiatric-mental health, oncology).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Strong background in patient education and community health outreach.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories to inform clinical decision-making.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies to accurately diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies within the scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic illnesses to empower informed health choices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity across different services.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in medical knowledge and clinical practices.
